Kane was the first horse I met on Kaua’i, and the most huge animal I have ever known.
He was a Percheron draft horse giant and jet black. The term gentle giant must have been named for him.
His kindness, exquisite demeanor and intellect were unequaled. I had the privilege of caring for him daily for a number of years along with other staff at Sliver Falls Ranch when it was in operation years ago.
We had many deep visits, rides and exchanges over time.
Kane remains a very bright light to all who knew him.
